A B O U T
Leah Salomaa is a classically trained, contemporary and Celtic/Folk inspired Canadian vocalist. Her expressive and powerful vocal style is based on her natural ability to fuse her emotional expression with her technical training and professional experience in the industry.
She grew up in Toronto as a dancer/actor in theatre, film, and television, and also as a singer in pop, classical and traditional folk music.
She worked with such companies as the Canadian Opera Company, The Canadian Children's Dance Theatre, CBC Television, TV Ontario and numerous commercials for the US and Canadian Markets.
Drawing from her training in ballet, modern dance, classical violin and acting, Leah settled on singing after her long career in the arts that began as a child.
Her voice has appeared on scores for television, film, radio and theatre.
She was a member of the Jeans 'n Classics Rock Symphony as a solo and harmony vocalist from 2004-2019, and toured North America as a special guest with numerous orchestras.
Leah is equally as comfortable centre stage, under the spotlight as she is singing in a living room singing class setting. She is currently in pre production for a new Christian worship album.
